About Us
Who Are We?
We’re an Australian family-owned company with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. In 2021, we launched The Healthy Llama to offer a range of authentic snacks, powders, and supplements, all based on organic Peruvian superfoods. Our products are designed to support the physical wellbeing of the whole family, while embracing sustainable practices.
What’s Next?
Our initial launch faced challenges for a number of reasons. We knew growing a new brand in a crowded market would be tough, but we didn’t foresee the impact of rising living costs and shifting buyer habits.
However, we’re not giving up. We've learned a lot, met some amazing people, and when the time is right, The Healthy Llama 2.0 will be back.
Stay tuned...
Peruvian Superfoods
Peruvian superfoods are nutrient-dense foods native to the Andean region, renowned for their remarkable health benefits. Packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, these superfoods—such as maca, lucuma, and camu camu—offer powerful support for overall wellbeing. They promote energy, enhance immune function, improve digestion, and help maintain hormonal balance, making them ideal additions to a balanced diet. Embracing these superfoods not only nourishes the body but also connects you to the rich agricultural heritage of Peru, where traditional knowledge meets modern nutrition.

Maca
Maca (Lepidium Meyenii) is a root vegetable native to the Andes of Peru, known for its energy-boosting and adaptogenic properties. It's typically available in three main colors: yellow, red, and black, each offering unique benefits. Maca is commonly used in powders, smoothies, and supplements for its well-rounded health benefits.

Camu Camu
Camu Camu (Myrciaria Dubia) is a small, sour berry native to the Amazon rainforest of Peru, and is known for its incredibly high vitamin C content—up to 60 times more than an orange—making it a potent immune booster.

Lucuma
Lucuma (Pouteria Lucuma) is a tropical fruit native to Peru, often referred to as the "Gold of the Incas." It has a naturally sweet, caramel-like flavour and is commonly used as a healthy, natural sweetener in powders and desserts.
